ISLAMABAD - The deadline of biometric verification of cell phone SIMs has been prolonged till Could 15, and the blocked SIMs won't be restored after the brand new deadline.

In line with experiences, motion may even be taken towards the mobile firm if their unregistered SIM is utilized in any terrorist exercise.

In line with particulars, it was informed in Pakistan Telecommunication Authority’s (PTA) assembly, chaired by Inside Minister Chaudhry Nisar that as many as 70 million SIMs have been registered thus far, whereas some 20 million unregistered SIMs have been shut down.

It was determined within the assembly to increase the deadline till Might 15. On this event, the inside minister mentioned the blocked SIMs wouldn't be restored after Might 15. He stated there will probably be no compromise on nation’s safety.
